76 Southbank recognised at the BCO and Civic Trust Awards

76 Southbank has won at the 2026 British Council for Offices (BCO) London Awards, where the scheme was named Best Refurbished / Recycled Workplace.
The BCO Awards judges praised project architect, AHMM, for its "sensitive material approach, including the replication of the original precast granite panels, and the transformation of the building’s relationship with the public realm through new entrances and generous riverside terraces". The BCO Award follows previous recognition for the project this year, having won a Civic Trust Award as well as the Civic Trust’s Special Award for Sustainability. The project was also shortlisted for Regeneration Project of the Year at the Construction News Awards.
This recognition underlines the success of 76 Southbank as a best-in-class example of how existing commercial buildings can be reimagined to deliver high-quality, sustainable workplaces with lasting civic value.
Last night’s success sees a Stanhope project win at the BCO London Awards for a second year in a row with 8 Bishopsgate (home to Stanhope’s headquarters) winning Best Commercial Workplace 2025.
